Definitely a wise mod, as Romi said with out Aussie conditions in addition to the lean burning nature of modern engines thanks to emission regulations, which are arguably a good thing for the environment, but bad for air cooled bikes, it makes it a good idea.

Mate, you should title these vids with “lets see how much money can this mechanic mug us off for”……..eg= How many HD oil filters can I buy for that billet one? Even if only 10 thats around 50 k miles until it recovers its cost, secondly you have magnet in your sump, another is wholly unnecessary and possibly wouldn’t work, (are you familiar with the pressure that oil passes through that filter? Oil cooler is a decent idea but from memory all the M8s have an oil cooler, oh and HD do a nice little fan you can install directly behind it…….

Pro tip... when filming the work being done FILM THE WORK BEING DONE! We don't need to see the mechanic's face while he's doing the job. It would be nice to actually see what he's doing! Capiche? The electrical hookup under the seat was rich with knowledge (maybe the most important part of the install) but we'll never know because you filmed the mechanic's mug instead of what he was doing. Carry on...

What type of temp drops have you gotten in real life riding
@TheHarleyRoadshow2 жыл бұрын
It’s not that you get temp drops but it prevents it from getting hot by the thermo fan kicking in as soon as the oil starts to heat up, it keeps the oil in the temperature range that is needed to keep the oil properties from breaking down, we ride in some pretty extreme conditions and the bike has performed perfectly, no more worrying about getting caught in traffic on hot days, this system is recommended if your engine has been modified, if it is stock it should be fine without it, thanks for watching
@Heavy69Metal2 жыл бұрын
What is the temp of the engine as well as head temp running one of these along with stock harley oil cooler with fan on a M8 road glide special?
@TheHarleyRoadshow2 жыл бұрын
Hi mate not sure on the m8, this one is a twin cam, but it works the same as your thermo fan on a car, when the temp hits 100deg it kicks in and cools the engine down, I’m pretty sure the m8 engine if it has an oil cooler already should be ok, these are another level of protection especially if you’ve done some performance engine mods, thanks for watching
