I like your style. I was also trained to work hot when you have to but in most cases breaker could be switched off. Why take a chance.

Why not turn the power off? There is no reward for doing it hot, but you put your self at risk.

It’s how I was trained. I agree that if you’re not trained, absolutely shut off the power 👍
