I did all the steps but after restarting the pc from the popup, davinci resolve wasnt anywhere. I have the control panels and everything else downloaded but the actual editing software doesnt show up when I search it.

I had the same problem.. No shortcuts created.. Go into Windows Explorer and drill down to: C:\Program Files\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Resolve.exe

thanks for your video. Quick question: Yesterday I was trying to install DaVinci Resolve 19 on my new macbook pro m2 max which is updated to MacOS Sequoia and when I downloaded the free version from the site (version 19.0.1) and double clicked to install, the installer prompt said I needed Rosetta installed to continue with the installation. Is there a way to bypass needing to have Rosetta installed on the Mac? Please let me know as I want to install DaVinci without having to have Rosetta installed in the process.

You shouldn’t need Rosetta. Check out the Resolve forums, they likely have people there experiencing the same thing

The latest beta patch solved the experience-breaking ones as far as I know. Highly recommend the upgrade if you use any of the neural engine features

I can't figure out how to upgrade from 18.6 Studio to 19 Studio. Is there a Studio upgrade or do we have to buy it again?

So far it's worked fine but I do recommend backing up your previous projects just to be safe

@@billseyecinema3239 You don't have to pay if you already own the studio version. You will have to download DaVinci 19 Studio (you can't update from your existing Resolve since 19 is a new version). And when you download Resolve 19 Studio, you will likely have to enter your license key #

Sorry, I didnt understand your question. Your iPhone footage didn't look as good as your phone footage?

@@AlliandWill yeah when I look at the iPhone footage on the phone it looks sharper and the colors are truer, then I upload them to my PC and they are not as sharp, I tried using the color page but then it really starts looking funky like I lose the black lines in between my piano keys and my skin tone seems to bloom before any adjustments and although adjusting helps it still far off from natural.

@musacman57 that’s likely because the footage was filmed in HDR on the iPhone. The iPhone screen is also probably nicer than your computer monitor. Try doing a test and recording a video with HDR off and then importing it onto your computer and comparing
