On September 11th, 2022 I purchased a 2022 Pinarello Prince Di2 disc. I purchased from Pro's Closet because of their reputation, to say the least I will not that again. Nor will I recommend it to anyone, I was under the impression that all the bikes they get in are gone through completely. I was made aware of a few scratches on the frame and I was good with that, however the bottom of the bottom bracket, the inside of the fork and the inside of the chain stays/seat stays were filthy. When I removed the battery door on the bottom of the BB it actually had mud in it. When I removed the crankset to replace it with a dual power meter set I found the frame side of the crankset filthy with dirt and grease and the BB bearing shell was also covered with dirt and grease. With the crankset out the inner shell of the BB was gritty with dirt. This was obviously never taken apart to be serviced or inspected. I then sent an email to 'Pro's' Closet: "On September 11th I ordered a 2022 Pinarello Prince for over $5500 from you folks. I am very upset about the condition it came in. I bought a bike from PC because of your reputation. I do not want to return the bike so don't concern yourself with that. I was under the impression that you tear down the bikes you sell to a point and go through them. This was not the case with this bike. Please see the attached pictures for reference. I pulled the cranks out and found a lot of dirt at the BB. I saw dirt on the BB frame bottom, removed the battery door and found mud in it. The rear derailleur was covered in light dirt/dust. This is prompting me to look closer at other areas of the bike since these obvious areas were not serviced. What I have found when I removed the wheels was the inside upper of the fork and the chain stay were also covered in dirt/dust. I don't know what I expect of PC besides me telling you I will not be recommending you or purchasing another bike/gear from PC.". Their response was: "Thanks for reaching back out to us here at TPC! All of our bikes do go through a cleaning and inspection process. I'm sorry that we missed the mark with your bike. To cover the time spent cleaning the bike, I'd like to offer you a $100 reimbursement. I'll get your information over to our accounts payable team today. That reimbursement will be issued to you within the next 1-3 business days. If there is anything else that I can assist you with please do not hesitate to ask.". All I could say was WOW. So you be the judge.

I use flat from Redshift, it has "lights" integrated. I like them. I want to upgrade to clip in. But, I find them uncomfortable. Looking for advice, SPD, Look, of Eggbeaters?

I have eggbeaters on both bikes road and MTB. Now in my 60s, they do not have enough support. Going back to platform pedals may get older ones from old bicycles.

You didn’t tell how to remove them if they are stuck. How to get leverage.

I get a wrench and inset a pipe (metal or PVC) to the end of it for more leverage. Works great

The first 15 mm whence is useless … its not long enough to provide good torque and the head’s profile too short so the wrench slips out easily risking to damage the pedal

I’m surprised to see you guys recommend using a cone wrench to remove pedals

A box wrench will not work. What he means to say is an 'open ended wrench'. Many wrenches have a box wrench on one side and an open ended wrench on the opposite side, which is probably why he's confused.
