This one was the best pedal uninstall/install I've seen yet because it assumes you're a layperson without a bike stand. This is just how I was doing it. Watched the left pedal a couple of times and everything worked out fine. I liked that you used several different tools and techniques as well. Thank you.

I think I stripped the threads on part of one of the cranks. Any hope it could still accommodate the pedal?
@cjhoyle2 жыл бұрын
Are they stripped because you tried to thread the wrong side of paddle into the crank? Most likely it's only the beginning of the threads which are damaged. Maybe you could try threading the pedal in from the opposite side of the crank. The beginning should be easy but get hard at the end when you hit the damaged part of the threads. Forcing them in backwards might clean up the threads enough to install them correctly. Just an idea, never tried this myself.

HI! What a frame of your bike? I buy used old bike with frame similar your bike and have no idea what manufacture this frame. Serial number of frame is 0RA00F041.
@cjhoyle2 жыл бұрын
I've had someone else ask me that in the comments of one of my videos. The answer is that I honestly don't know. The stickers on the bike were badly damaged when I took possession of it, so I removed them. Unfortunately I didn't take any photos before doing that. However, I'm pretty sure it was just a department store type brand.

What to do if it just doesint want to screw off
@cjhoyle3 жыл бұрын
Did you try stomping on the wrench with your foot like I showed in this video? If that doesn't work you could try spraying a chemical on it such as Liquid Wrench and then try again. If you can't get it free, the only option is to also replace your cranks.

Do count with your fingers lol easier just to say clockwise and counter clockwise...good video
@cjhoyle3 жыл бұрын
Screw threads are 3D objects and Clockwise/Counter-Clockwise can only account for 2 dimensions. If you change your frame of reference by 180 degrees...the thing that you were calling clockwise before is now counter-clockwise. The RHR and LHR are perfect for expressing 3D rotation.
@user-nq9gz4xf7f3 жыл бұрын

Why don't you just use "clockwise" to tighten the Right side pedal and "counter-clockwise" to tighten the Left side pedal.
@cjhoyle4 жыл бұрын
Clockwise vs counter-clockwise is a 2 dimensional concept which is less helpful for something 3 dimensional like this. It's also helpful for both tightening and loosening.
