I used a drill-powered pump to drain my tank and bowl, then a woodcraft clamp like a handle to carry the bowl out. Worked like a dream. Unfortunately, my dumb@$$ didn't cut the caulk at the bottom, and I accidentally ripped up my linoleum and made it into a much bigger project. Haha, this is why you call the professionals!

Thank you thank you thank you...You are seriously my hero today...I just had hardwood installed and the flooring guys did not put back two of my toilets...and I seriously was going to pay $600 for the plumber to come out and put it back on...I love how you break down the instructions barney style for people who are clueless about even the basic things like a size of a socket....A lot of videos skim over stuff assuming people know, but there are people like me who need it explained like you're explaining to a 5 year old...You also go slow enough where the viewer understands what you're explaining but fast enough where it doesn't drag..I've watched like six of your videos tonight because I"m tired of forking over hundreds or thousands of dollars having to hire people for things I can try to do myself..

Fluidmaster makes a supply line that clicks, when it's tight enough.

Your first mistake is using that POS "Worse than Wax" seal. Talk to any plumber, they are crap. Just stick with a plain ole wax ring; they've worked for hundreds of years. Secondly, you don't just "hand tighten" the closet bolts. Obviously you can't crank them down too tight, but you have to tighten them a LOT more than just hand-tight. That thing's gonna be wobbling in under a month. And thirdly, you don't use teflon tape on the fill valve inlet. The supply line has a gasket in it; you don't use teflon tape when there's a gasket. Hope this helps you.

5:39 Teflon tape COUNTER-clockwise? I always get confused when working upside down, but shouldn't it always be clockwise? And do you really need teflon tape at all on a compression fitting?

I like the toilet, but the seat not so much. Here's a much better one: Bath Royale (watch?v=xoGGxdl-T5I). I've had mine in 3 bathrooms for about 3 years and have had no issues with them. They are super-easy to lift off and clean, quiet-close, etc.
