Great investment I made for the Lawn maintenance. I mixed fertilizer, weed killer, pest control and soil enhancement and poured it into the system that connects to my sprinkler main line and kept it to low feed rate. The sprinkler system is connected to Rachio automation sprinkler system. The end result is auto fertilization on periodic interval and great resulting lawn. I invested $600 in total for product and labor for installation and the total mix fertilization costs $200 per year. this will give 1.5 yrs break even period as I am eliminating the fertilization company and it charges $650 for 10 application per year. This will now reduce it to apporx. $200 per year in fertilization cost going forward after 1.5 yrs break even.

What about the fertilizer overspray staining sidewalks, patio furniture, home brick/ siding, fences etc... Obviously, I want to minimize as much overspray as possible but factors like wind are uncontrollable. Any thoughts you have would be appreciated, also what fertilizer do you use?

@@BonnerBB Most of my sprinklers are always facing out from the house therefore I do not have staining on home brick, furniture or siding, while there are few sprinkler that are facing towards house that I have reduced the throw distance so it wont reach my home. I also have vegetable plant so I usually go organic fertilizer you can see them below. Regarding the sidewalk, I see the same stain compared to what granular leave on my sidewalk from my previous weed control vendor but I live in GA so there is plenty of rain comes to wash this away. Fertilizer I use - Organic Green envy and Kelp fertilizer by GS Plant. Weed Control - Negate. (This is not organic but I had to choose this as it is the best until I find organic substitute). Soil enhancement - Use any organic liquid aerator. Hope this helps. Thanks for reaching out to me.

What if your irrigation system doesn't use PVC pipe but instead the flexible tubing?
