How to install and use a Solar powered Defiant motion security light

I bought twenty of these for around the outside of my home. The first night all worked. The second night sixteen worked, but by the third night only three of them worked. I think I will hold on to the three that work, but I am taking the other seventeen back to Home Depot. I wonder if the batteries in them are old from sitting in Home Depot too long. We also had a lot of rain and I wonder if they let moisture in.

I only put up one and it faces directly at sun it has work great the whole time we have had it much better than some others that I have bought we keep it on movement mode so its not on all the time only when it senses movement

Took all 28 screws apart then found Tom's video and pushed the button. Voila! it came right on, confirming that yes I am indeed a geenius

i bought these, but its constantly on right when it gets dark. So it only lasts for only like 2 hours. Is it defective? Is there a way to set it just with motion detection so it doesnt waste energy? The place where I put it is in a parking lot, however, the side street has cars, maybe the motion detection is detecting everything.

you can change the setting by pushing button to movement mode

thanks it seems there are only 3 options: 1- motion detection with high output, 2 motion detection with low back output, and 3 off.

I bought one, but the button doesn't work sometimes for some reasons. When I click it or hold it or anything, it just turns off again. I did everything right but sometimes it just doesn't work then it goes back to normal. It's confusing

u can set it a couple of different ways

Mine stays on as well. If you read the instructions. Mode "A" stays on for 40 hours. Mode B stays on for 140 hours... Who would need a motion light to stay on for more than about 10 minutes? Let alone 140 hours.

Make sure the solar panel top is clean and there’s a couple buttons on the inside that you have to engage to make sure that it’s working good luck thanks for watching
