This product was so close to actually be useful.. just one thing makes it almost useless.. The whole point of having a plug on an easy to reach please is to be able to grab it immediately, because very often you have your finger on the whole keeping the air in... or you are simply in a hurry (racing)! If I need to take my tool out from the backpack to take the plug out, I might as well just keep a normal plug in the backpack! Such a shame, a tool free action was going to solve everything..

Disagree... maybe for your application, but there are many other applications where it is very useful. I prefer to be as 'decluttered' when riding as possible, ie everything stored on or in the bike as possible so I don't have to run a backpack or have pockets full of stuff. Very useful in my case.

This is without comparison the absolute worst puncture repair set to date. Plunges are extremely sticky to get out of the plastic they are in. But when stuck in your tire, they blow right out at only 3,5 bar or 50 PSI. First i tried the smallest plug, since the hole was very small... It blew right out at 50 PSI. So i changed to the middle sized plug. This one kept air at 4,1 bar or 59 PSI... But after 40 meters of riding, the plug blew right out again. Before i had a very small hole, that muc off tubeless sealant didn't seal... Now i have a huge hole from using this rubbish puncture repair set, and now i get to buy a new tire, after spending way too much on this set already....

Might be worth looking into a non locking folding blade for your UK customers, all it takes is a jobsworth cop and that is a concealed fixed blade knife, nice idea but i wouldnt risk using it for commuting for that reason. I'd rather just have a regular plug set in my tool bottle and uk legal pocket knife on my keys. Also needing another tool to get at your repair kit seems like an extra step, why not keep a plug kit in a pouch with your multi tool and co2 at that point.

I bought your kit today and used it as directed and the plug didnt seal the hole at all. Tried two sizes tried putting half in, both halfs in, added rubber cement etc. and it still leaks. Your kit cost 2x as much the slime kit too. Pretty bummed

I’ve a small hole about 3mm slice, tyre staying up but sealant keeps bubbling out, do I need to plug it if it’s staying up?

I think that hint about going into the leak at a 45 degree angle is important. I didn't think about that after my first flat, and couldn't figure out why I was still leaking air after fixing the tire. So I eventually took the tire off and installed a tube (I always carry one, and it was the first time I'd needed it in a long time). That's when I saw the rim tape damage - D'oh! I've learned my lesson and your suggestion just reinforced it. Thanks.

Can you store it in the HT2 crankset in the same manner? I am asking of course for the single piece (not two). And one question about dimensions -- what is the inner and outer width of the hole in the plug itself (i.e. how thick the strip can be and how big hole the plug will make)?

It's a fixed blade so illegal if a copper decides he wants to pull you up on it. For trail riding probably get away with it, fixing a flat on a train station platform (like I had to this week) Increases your chance of getting an eager chap wanting to get a knife crime arrest on his chit. I just carry a small uk legal knife with me, leatherman squirt usually for the commute, Swiss army knife for a weekend ride out on gravel.
