Great video! I did the same in my V50 back in 2018 but with a 1 din radio unit. I also cut of the special "volvo" radio cable plug and soldered on a regular ISO socket and mounted a new DAB+ antenna

Dont cut out to much of the frame and the new frame that comes with the new stereo works like extra support

Well, the installation procedure was butchery style, to a degree. More importantly, apart from entertainment, have you retained all the car function controls including access to the car settings menu?

Just check all the wiring diagram and see you need any adapters. And check the measure so it fits. I can't say it will work but it should work but just tripel check everything thats what my friend did

Yes, but it's a bit of a guessing game on what it's set to but so far it's not a problem but I'm considering making a Y adapter for the cable that goes to the OEM display and then installing it somewhere a hidden like the glove box but we'll see. // The V50 owner in the vid

The thing is you can't you need to use the old screen somewhere else. But we havn't figured out where to put the old one.
