Great video,but my ?is ,I'm doing this to an 07 avalanche,but also replacing rear electric /air shocks,would I have to bypass shocks and compressor in order for no pop up codes,can't find no vids on front back vehicle bypass conversion...👍🍻
@diymaniac87610 күн бұрын
So, did you only do the front ??? And did you leave your Fuse in for the Compressor ??? At First, I Did the Rear Only, and got the Service Message after 1 Day, So I Did the Fronts as Well, but I bought this Kit you used with 4 SENSORS, I also saw Strutmaster saying in their Video, saying to Put 1 in the Exhaust Solenoid on the Compressor as well ??? Hell, I dunno, but Im gonna put these on all 4 corners with The Compressor FUSE IN, Compressor PLUGGED IN and see how it does. I Have also saw another Video, where they want you to Zip Tie The Ride Height Senosors from being able to Move as well ??? I'll Try these 4 and try and Report Back, but 1 Thing I WOULD NOT DO, as suggested in another Comment, is CUT that Orange Wire, that Makes NO SENSE at all to me, so DON'T DO That, just Pull the Fuse If you are Trying that, but as I said, IT DID NOT WORK on this 02 Escalade.

Mine is a 2008 Escalade base model. What if the air pump is disconnected, will the suspension light still come on? And did you have three nuts holding the shock in? What i see online are quick struts for my model not a shock absorber.

Will doing that affect the auto ride in the rear? Like will it no longer allow the suspension to lift or lower?
@Naturalgearhead2 жыл бұрын
No it will not affect it, the rear will act as normal

I don’t, sorry....I haven’t had any problems with the rears yet, but when/if I do, I’ll probably do another video, since I’ve been asked by a few people about the rears..

My 04 yukon denali has the z55 with bad shock in rear I'm thinking of doing the same bypass but my question is did you have to do any modification to the mounting brackets? Just order a typical shock that mounts up to any other truck without z55? Thank you very much for the vid man and the walkthru

I only did the front delete and bypass...my rear shocks were fine, so I left them alone...sorry I couldn’t help

All you have to do is disconnect the battery, and remove the 30amp RTD fuse from the underhood fuse panel. You do not need to install all these bypass modules.

NOPE, not on an 02 Escalade, It Took a day for it to come on, after doing the Rears Only, and Now it WILL NOT go out, I Tried disconnecting the negative Terminal 1st etc, and it Comes RIGHT BACK ON.

Will these work with the back suspension as well? Thanks

You can bypass the rear also, but I personally have not done the rears.....since I haven’t had a problem with them yet, so I’m not exactly sure of the process.

So you are not replacing the shocks ? Just bypassing autoride? What if your shocks are shot

As you can see in the vid, it has new non-auto ride shocks...this video is just to help someone who wants to install bypass modules, hence the title of the vid. For you last question, if your shocks were shot…you will want to change them. Thanks for your comment, hope this clears everything up for you. 😁👍

Check the rpo codes like in the video. If it has z55 then yes it will work. Its just a 25w resistor.
