Your explanation is very good. I would suggest a small exterior light to better help visualize what you are describing. Perhaps you could us a long screwdriver to first point out the importance areas before getting your hand inside because, it then impossible to see. But again, you explain things very well. Tanks you

These are Xenon headlights which have the ballasts, how did you bypass the ballast to replace with the 12vdc LED's? If they were Halogen headlights then, yes, it's a simple replacement.

I'm not sure. My car had the halogen headlights, so I haven't researched the HID conversion.

Thanks for the amazing video! Quick question, i am trying to replace my low beam Halogen with a LED. The ballast seems to be faulty. Can i directly connect the LED to the power source bypassing the ballast?

If it has a ballast it must be HID not halogen. the bulb and the socket fitting would be different.

Hey grant, just installed a RVG downpipe and looking to do an exhaust soon. I am thinking of doing valved cutouts like you have on your f10. What are your thoughts on the ones you have? Have you had any problems with them? I was a little skeptical with the AliExpress ones because of the price. Thanks

Yea I had this same issue and thought Amazon sent me wrong one. 😂 then realize info on internet could vary. Turns out my HID BALLAST set up takes D4S HID XENON Lights.

I changed out the low beam in this video. These bulbs have been in the car for over 1.5 years ang I can guarantee that this was not the high beam on this car. Maybe it is different on your vehicle with your options.

Mine were headlights. My DRL’s are still halogen bulbs.

What you’re referring to is the positioning of the DRL on the HID headlights. The positions for low beam and DRL are switched for the Halogen model (halogen shown in this video)
