DUDE! ty SO MUCH for this video! I appreciate you explaining it like you were talking to a toddler. Cuz SERIOUSLY thats exactly what I needed. I have never in my entire life seen mods THIS HARD to install to a game without detailed instruction like this. You are the GOAT! I really have no idea how a normal person would EVER figure this out by just messing around. I have no serious prior knowledge to any of this stuff. I just followed along with you, trusting the process. And if anyone was to ask "how did you do that" my answer would be i have NO idea lol!! Id have to send them to this video. Ty Ty Ty! It took me (no lie) 5 hours of searching the internet, following guides, watching old outdated videos to FINALLY find you (somehow). Forever grateful.

This won't apply to all mods, and especially not admin style mods, but for basic addition mods this is what I do

I try to include the whole process start to finish and simple as I can and how I do things myself, I can only teach how I myself learn and I had to self teach a lot of this stuff, glad it helps you!

make sure to use semi colins and no spaces when typing mods into nitrado

so ive been having a really hard time trying to get mortys wepons to my spawn list, ive treied so many things but cant get it, 1. does the loot spawn once i add it to the spawn table and restart it or do i have to wait untill the main loot despawns?2. is there a way i can test the loot spawns to see it my wepons are spawning?. if you can make a vid showing how to do it and how to test that its spwning in the envirement woule help. thanks for the tuts, ive been using all your videos to set my server up

Will every mod have types? I'm trying to add "RA Basebuilding" which went fine, but the prerequisite "Dabs Framework" doesn't have types in the folder.

@@EpicYork no not every mod will have any files or extras, some mods are script or backend and just do whatever the job it says, most will mention if they have types, but frameworks and such wouldn't be that

check all your xml files for errors, use a validator to make sure something wasnt skipped

i upload these mods but they are always missing meta.cpp and such files!! i transferred the exact file and didnt take anything out of it im really in a dead end here...

dont know why but my dayz doesnt pop up after opening the common file, only dayzserver which doesnt have my downloaded mods from steam workshop

You need to get it out of the workshop folder in the DayZ folder, it's usually a hidden folder you'll need to set your PC to show hidden folders

I feel like I'm totally missing something here, when I get a mod from Workshop it doesn't sit in a folder called "@RandomMod" it just has a nine digit number, I've followed all of this tut and it just won't work, i keep getting the message "you were kicked off the game due to a data verification error: Client has a Mod which is not on the server. the server shows that it is using the mod, the BISKEYs and all as they should be. What am I doiong wrong here?

if thats the error then either key, or mod install isnt right, or your spelling the mod wrong in the call line and not calling your mod at all, and getting a mod from workshop puts it in the workshop folder, you gotta add it to your server, rather a live server or a local server.

man, I appreciate you replying, I've had to do a full reinstall to get the !Workshop folder to show up and I thought that would be the end of the problem, re did everything, double checked all my steps, copied and pasted so I didn't miss-spell, copied the key, copied the mod folder, added it to the additional mods in general. I'm going to give it another go in the morning, it's pissing me off too much tonight.

@@AustinWilson-xw3fv could be a number of things going on with this, invalid xml crashing the server, mod installed wrong causing crash. Can check crash log, bottom will be most recent issues. And can ask in discord, usually someone helpful around here and there

Hey man how do I DELETE a mod!!! Please help because I have a couple people getting mad because a mod doesn’t work and after this last DayZ update we can join because of a PBO error due to that mod.

@@cristobalflores4850 just remove the call line, where you type @mod just delete that mods call. Remove mod folder from server, delete the key from the keys folder that came with the mod. Just reverse process, depending the mod might require reinstall/wipe to clear the storage of the mod, have to read the mods info for that stuff

Why would you need to upload the key twice? I just followed everything and the keys are already there I don't see the point of doing it again.

if refering to the part where i showed two methods of uploading the key, yeah dude, correct, only need to do it once...but for demo purpose of showing a couple ways to do something...yeah showed it twice?

@@JosieGarfunkle Actually I may have misunderstood something along the way. In the main directory I saw a keys folder and that's where the 2nd uploading of the keys were supposed to go right? I had finally gotten the VPPadmintools mod to work and I had to take the key and put it in the keys directory. I think it's what I misunderstood IM now uploading the mods I want and will try it again.

@@notnoriaga hard to say what the error was, if you remove a file from the server, i know nitrado servers automatically replace anything missing with a vanilla file

Hmmm so I’ve watched a bunch of videos on how to do this. You’re the only one I’ve seen that downloads anything else for the mods. Everyone else just drag and drops into file location… any reason why? lol seems like an pointless extra program and step

this comment was irrelevant to helping anyone following the video or that has already had success following the video, and this seems to be directed at Nitrado servers on the point you're refering to, which either you do the same thing and your point is moot, or you don't use nitrado, also rendering your comment irrelevant and moot.... any reason why? lol seems like a pointless thing to say on all ends
