Dude, your videos are so detailed and easy to follow. It seems like you anticipate every little problem that could arise during an install and address it with the audience so they aren't left confused. Thanks so much for all the videos! You've saved me hours of struggles while working on the 250r I just bought...

Been having some trouble with the battery on my Honda Shadow and got a Battery Tender Junior since I heard some many good things about it. Your video was so easy to follow that it took me 20 minutes to take off the seats and set it up. Currently charging right now so thanks! Really great video.

Tender year round. I use an Optimate 3+ tester/charger. I like it's features that Battery Tender doesn't have. I would like to add some advise for your subs. If you are not using a maintenance free battery, be sure to keep a check on the water level. These batteries will loose water through evaporation (through the battery's vent tube), even on a tender. If level is low, top off with distilled water ONLY. As always, love your vids BB.

Does the negative cable go to the negative battery terminal or to some where on the frame? You didn't show hooking it up. Thanks.

Happy 2018 my friend. Thanks for this great video on batteries. When I got my Cruiser (2005 C-50 Boulevard) she was in fabulous condition with less than 4000 miles. I was informed that it had a new battery. What the Dealer did not tell me was that the old battery leaked badly and upon inspection I found that corrosive acid had leaked down along the frame. It was obvious the leak was substantial and lasted for some time. I was afraid the structural integrity (some of the welds) might be affected but thankfully it was all sound. some of the acid splashed onto the wiring but luckily it ate the black electrician tape binding the wires together and NOT the actual leads. :-) Like a lot of appliances, if you put the bike into long storage it is a good idea to take the battery out. I ALWAYS check the battery to make sure the blasted thing is not leaking. Thanks for bringing attention to this very often overlooked component of our bikes. I enjoy your presentations very much. . . . J

I can pretty much ride all year here in NC, so I haven't had to pull a battery out or keep it plugged in on or off the bike. But if I ever have to, I will use my Battery Tender, like the one you showed in the video. My VTX 1800N came with the connector already installed, but my scooter doesn't have one. I put a 12v power outlet on it for running GPS and such, and then made a plug that will go in the outlet and connect to the battery tender. Problem solved. Hopefully will never use it for that, but better to have it and not need it, as you can't push start it. I can jump start it from there if needed, also hopefully never needed.
@Brownbrady7 жыл бұрын
Is it a cigarette lighter outlet? If so, I didn't know you could plug in the battery tender in that matter.

Welcome back brownbrady. Thanks for the videos. It is really helpful. Happy holidays. I would appreciate if you could do a video about reassembling airbox for CBR250R. My friend recently removed the airbox and replaced it with a K&N airpod filter. He regrets his decision now. It would be helpful if you could help reinstall the airbox again.

I installed a gps and motion alarm in mi bike, and now the battery runs dry in less than 2 weeks. Will a device like this one help keep the battery charged? Will constant tending damage or shorten the battery life on the long run?
@USA2283 Жыл бұрын
No tending the battery is the best thing you can do for it. If u run a lead acid battery dead twice it’s shot. If you leave it on a tender it can last a few more years than without it.

Stugots666x not likely I kept my bike on a battery tender. The unit stops charging when the battery is fully charged then starts up when voltage drops
