How did you decide where you wanted to mount the brackets to hold the bimini posts on port and starboard. Is it just a matter of person preference? And it seems like I could get the two brackets on myself and attach the bimini myself, but I would need a helper for the mounts the 4 straps attach to would have to be determined with the bimini upright in order to determine where the straps end and therefore where to mount the strap mounts. Does that sound right? I’m solo and my need to hire a helper. Thanks again!

@@ItIsColdHere Thanks for the reply, personal preference is the approach we pursued, and sounds like you have a great idea where you want it. 😁👍

How did you determine the placement of the mounting points? It may be in the instructions but what order did you mount them in, the rear most first and then use them to determine the others or the longer one and then sued that point?

Hey great tutorial!. I'm a little confused though how the straps attached to the Bimini.? Do you just scrunch the loops up into that connector and put the bolt through?

dlarremore Thanks for watching & sharing your question. The front mounting hooks will need to be screwed into place & secured. Next, the clip attached to the strap will be able to clip into place. We hope this helps. Keep us posted on your DIY project. Please subscribe to the channel and turn on your KZbin notification Bell 🛎 that would be awesome thanks again! 😎👍🔧🔩

Thanks for viewing and commenting. This is a 6 ft top. Pretty tall haha but we love it for sure. Its been great for providing shade in those HOT summer days! Sub to the channel if you're up to it. Thanks again!

why do you want it so high? It seems it would give better shade if lower????????????????
