How to Install Chimney Flashing

A step by step guide to flashing a chimney. From cutting the groove into the chimney to installing the final pc of flashing, I'll show you hands on the quickest, easiest, and best way to flash a chimney. I'll bend the apron flashing and all other counter flashing using a 10 ft tapco break.
It is assumed in this video that the veiwer has basic shingle install knowledge.

Then all that metal you put at the stop is no use cause nails from shingles will be in it. I would like to just show you how I do it. I’m 25 btw

Bottom shingle will take water under it forever !!! Totally wrong !!!!

One thing I would add, make sure that you don’t make your side pieces too tall. It’s easy to make them too tall and struggle fit them in. Rather go a touch short and let the bottom flange take care of the gap. Btw, looks great!!

PPE-safety glasses are a must. A trip to the ED would change your plans for sure.
