Although the video is very clear, I am just not sure about what is included in the Cinestyle file... If it is only the 4 parameters I see in the selected Picture Style it is much easier to just set them on the camera. Or are there other things included in the Cinestyle?

You cant make contrast as low as in cinestyle if i remember correctly.

There is no way to install official “Canon C-Log”. You can install a close “C-Log” profile which I’ve found from EOS HD.

Mate, you need to do the following: 1) Go to Video mode, 2) Go to the User Def that you want to change, 3) Press Info, 4) Press SET, 5) Scroll or use Wheel and you should see CineStyle, 6) Press SET and you are done. Now when you go back to the Main Menu screen, the Picture Style will still say "User Def.1". It's the Canon thing, unfortunately. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Hello, I am having trouble with EOS Utility detecting my Canon Rebel T6. I have downloaded cinestyle profile, then OS specific version of EOS Utility for my MacOS version, connected my camera in manual mode and turned on, but no detection. What might I need to do? here are my specs: Mac OS: Monterey 12.0.1 (need to keep this version for other programs I use) EOS Utility: 3.16.10 (most recent one)

Hmm... Sounds like you've done all the correct steps. If your computer doesn't detect your camera, I'd double check and make sure you have a working usb, sometimes they can randomly go bad. Also, I know with micro usb/mini usb cables, not all of them transfer data, just power delivery, so I would suggest trying a couple different cables and see if you computer detects your camera. If that doesn't work, I would uninstall the EOS Utility and then reinstall it and see if it works. If the most current version doesn't work, you might install the version prior. Hope this helps! Hopefully you can get cinestyle working soon!!

If I have an EOS M with Magic Lantern and I shoot raw, is the cinestyle still relevant? Does it affect the raw footage?

If you shoot RAW with magic lantern, a picture profile like cinestyle won't affect what the raw footage looks like. Cinestyle is great for cameras that can't shoot raw because it gives you a more flat image that you can change more than just a "standard" picture profile.
