Your visualisation and knowledge skills for your builds is amazing, your explanation and quality of your builds are excellent, I’m now an avid follower of any of your builds, you must be extremely proud of what you hand to your customers, and conversely they must be very appreciative of your quality of build, very very well done. 👌👌👍

The Hawk is such a good looking jet! The remote plugin for the Cortex is brilliant! I do the same as you for my monitor/monitors. For my gyro unit installs I mount them to a raft of sorts. Just a 1/8" piece of aircraft ply that has a footprint about 1/8" larger than the Gyro unit. The gyro is mounted to the ply raft with its tape then the raft is screwed to the tray with a screw in each corner. Now if you ever have to recalibrate the gyro simply unscrew the raft from the equipment tray and remove from the plane. No more scraping and tearing the mounting tape! I do the same for all my Jeti Assist RX's
@thelightersideofrc2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Bert. Yea I used to do that with my Gyro's, I would install them on a Carbon plate so they could be moved easily. Totally understand and it's a great way to do it.

Such a beautiful color scheme, Jon. 👍I‘m using mid size KST servos on my little Logo 480 (streched to 520 now) and those are absolutely no brainer, strong and fast👍 cheers from Munich , Sven 🍺

Size wise, how does this compare to the Huracan ? Can we get a side by side shot of them together? Thank you for showing us the ins and outs of this hobby.
@thelightersideofrc2 жыл бұрын
Hello Marc. Wingspan is the same but the huracan is much like a Viper Jet. Short in the body. So the Hawk is a bit longer than the Huracan. like 1.5ft

What is your building time like for this Jet? In the Videos it all looks fairly speedy. I bet it isn’t that quick in real life?😅
@thelightersideofrc2 жыл бұрын
Hello Thomas. Jet took about 10 days to complete. It was full time hours though. It's been done for about 1 week now. I don't do this full time but I had some vacation days to take so I took 10 days off from my normal job and knocked it out. Currently finishing the Mig 17 and started on the Bull and another Ranger.

This airplane looks so big. Great video as usual. Forgot to take a note on the paint you used for the freakled appearance of your tray. Could you help please. Krylon stone spray if I recall? And any prep needed before hand? Thanks
@thelightersideofrc2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It's Tremclad stone finish. basically the color you use for the base will be the primary color you see come through. So I will usually use a base of grey primer and then the stone finish.

Love your build vids !! Do you find it harder, easier or neutral in repairing models that have been painted inside of the chassis
@thelightersideofrc2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! If you have to do a full on repair from a damaged fuse than it's much easier on an unpainted fuse. If you do paint the inside you have to sand all the paint off for a proper bond of the glass repair.

Fantastic model, great build videos. For the scale, and all the external detail, it's a real pity the cockpit detail is absolutely nothing like a Hawk T1/A !

Well what can I say, another great video from you and the workings of the cockpit and the tray layouts. Super job. I do have a question, do you have the battery connectors for deans or just XT? Going to look at your website and see.
@thelightersideofrc2 жыл бұрын
Hello Hank. Thank you very much. I don't have the connectors for deans. Just XT. I used to be a fan of deans but have pretty much moved away from using them and gone to MPX and Mostly XT. Great connector.

Do you build helicopters ??? I would love to see a build. Awesome skills
@thelightersideofrc2 жыл бұрын
I started the hobby with Heli's and lost interest in them when I heard, saw and smelt my first turbine. I have an electric heli in my fleet but that's it so far. I have had some viewers contact me to ask about building some scale heli's. Maybe that will happen in the future.
@lessharratt87192 жыл бұрын
@@thelightersideofrc Well then We just need a turbine heli by the sounds of it,.
