My battery died and I took it apart as well trying to figure out how to get the battery out. Mine has a metal post in it instead of the plastic. I found that you don’t need to take it apart to get the battery out, but instead use a small pick and pry the battery out in the hole in the one oclock position. You need to use a little force, but it comes out.

Wow, that’s very enlightening so it can be done maybe you have a different little bit of a lock than I do evidently so if you’re a maintenance guy and you have let’s say 100 of these how much time do you think it would take to fix or replace these I should say batteries🧢👍😂😊❤️👉🔐

@@doorandlocktips I install and perform maintenance (change batteries) on MiniK10 locks in Australia, they are a very good locker lock. I can change 100 batteries in under 2hrs. The plastic shaft that turns the Cam is designed to break, in the event of a forced entry so the items in the locker remain secure. The MiniK10 also can be managed and programmed by an App on an Android smart phone making it one of the most time efficient, user and management friendly locks I've found. The instruction stickers are for locks that are in "Public Mode" so people who have never seen the MiniK10 before can understand how to secure their belongings.

@2ceents ​​⁠ well it wasn’t our experience and out of all 10 or 12 locks we showed that was the worst lock of the bunch I mean you have to admit out of all those locks it was the worst. I did this for a living at least I used to. I’m retired now, but that thing is a mess, it would never hold up under any hospital environment or high traffic areas, like I don’t know where to use it just nobody uses it. They sell a lot of them. It’s amazing doesn’t say that in the manual but good workaround. I don’t know what to say. If it was for real as far as being a legitimate Lock I think they would be embarrassed, but they’re not all that knock off cheap piece of junk yet they’re making lots of money off of the unwary victim that buys that lock💕😒🥴😳😉😒😂

Quick tip - Battery went dead and could not open the lock, used a hair dryer and warmed the battery enough for it to be opened.

Now that’s ingenious really is super smart. I’ll bring that up on a video when I’m talking about electronic locks again good point big problem though with that particular lock you can’t get the battery out of it. I guess maybe if you heated it with a hairdryer the battery might come out too ha ha ha Thanks again. Check out the rest of my videos.
