Great information. I had problems in the past with setting up EZDOK because I was never able to completely clear all of the num keys, arrows and etc. Seeing how you assigned the keys as a "new assignment" and then clearing them removed them permanently. It worked. Cheers!

Just an FYI, ALWAYS right click and click 'Run As Admin" on ASN, and FSX! I just got EZDOK yesterday and so far I love it. Happy Holidays bro!

Hey Matt! So after uninstalling EzDok because i didnt want it anymore, my virtual cockpit is gone, there is no button for Virtual Cockpit, and validating fsx didnt work either.

It doesn´t work for me! I can´t setup any camera views becuse my camera doesn´t move! I don´t have any of those keys linked to FSX. But still I can´t move the camera in the cockpit! Anything to try?

OK, so figured it out. Just run FSX in Administration mode. It sorted it for me. Running perfectly now.

Hey Matt, Everything is working, so is the mouse panning, however when I hold down the middle mouse button and scroll, it doesn't zoom. The zoom is enabled, I tried pressing Z a few times and un-binded the mouse scroll. Is it supposed to be binded or not?

Hi Matt. I've been watching your Ezdok tutorial and was confused as to why you can edit cameras in full screen mode! This must surely be due to the O/S ? I'm running Windows 8.1 and it runs quite well considering. Although I do have a few problems here and there like most of us. Recently purchased X Plane 10 Global & wow what an experience especially since I've purchased the Saitek Pro yoke & pedals & upgraded my graphics card. But can't seem to get Ezdok running the way it should even with admin rights. Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Great vids & tutorials by the way. All the best Matt. Pete

Matt, I guess I don't get it. Except for close up views of instruments, I really don't see how this is better than a standard set up hat switch -- at least in the cockpit. Perhaps what I really need is TracIR, not EZdoc. For instance what do I have to do to look out the right window to find the runway while on right base? And how do I get back to my default view in a quick and natural manner?

***** Thanks Matt. I do have a button set up now to snap back to my preferred view but that still doesn't prevent the door post or top edge of the side window from interfering with my view. TrackIR solves this easily and naturally without EZdoc. I am still giving you the opportunity to sell me on EZdoc, but shake effects just don't cut it.

I run Ezdok on P3D. When I start up a flight, my view in the cockpit is slightly to the right(as if the pilots head is turned a little bit to the right). The Captain's side PFD is halfway cut off. Then when I try to re Center the view so that is is proper, it just snaps back to that slightly to the right view. Even when I use the Ezdok controls(Up, Down, Page Up, Page Down, etc.) to centre the view it just snaps back again. Could somebody help me?

Great trick for removing keyboard assignments! I came across something of an oddity though whilst removing assignments from the pageup/down & arrow keys... When I press any of these keys to remove the assignments FSX thinks they are assigned to some numpad keys. Weird thing is... I don't even have a physical numpad on my keyboard... go figure!

Since I uninstalled this Ezdok thing, my virtual cockpit has become like a birds eye view where i can see nearly everything in cockpit and when I zoom in all the control switches on the edge become stretched. My seating position is also behind the seat everytime i restart fsx. You know whats wrong?

I followed you as far as clicking the camera views on the microlight, but in my case, FSX goes into Pause as soon as I click a view, and there is a click sound when I mouse click each camera view, but the screen does not change from the default view. Any ideas?

Hi, I know this video is old but I bought EZDOK camera view and I wanted to delete it. Ive deleted all ezdok files from my FSX. Now I can't play fsx with my joystick. I cannot just press S and change vies nor can I do it on the joystick. I cannot change views with S and I can't navigate with my joystick. If you know the issue please help

Thanks for the suggestion Matt, Pause now de-enabled, but same thing; the click sound when I click the views, but no views change. It seemed to work (but now with my TrackIR) in v1.15, but since I upgraded to v1.17, no view changes at all :-(

my studio does not go on top of fsx, it only appears outside of it. i have to tab out to use it. fsx crashes after a few tab outs and ins.. (windows 10, FSX-SE) anyone experiencing the same issues, or know how to fix it?

When I open up EZCA and FSX in either full screen or windows, as soon as I click on the different views it pauses the game, it doesn't cycle through the views, and actually minimizes my FSX screen. Anybody having this issue and what is the fix? Thanks.

Ive got a weird problem, I havent had it a long time, it appeared a few weeks ago. When I add a Camera f.ex. in the cockpit, and i switch to that camera view, i dont get the shaky effects anymore. But when I click in some random field on the EZDOKs list of views, which is not assigned to a view it works, but thats kinda annoying.

I have the same problem with EZDok. When I try to set a camera view and hold the space and move the mpuse to the desired position, the view resets back to looking forward. I re installed my OS Win 7 64bit, then no other software other that FSX and acclerator and my Logitech 3D Pro and I still have the problem. I would appreciate any suggestions as it's getting quite annoying.

I've had this before, followed your steps almost exactly, howeever I've found when panning with holding space and moving the mouse in the locked spot view, and VC view, it locks back to the original view when I release the space bar, any ideas mate?

ok dude I found it but I have a problem :/ when I start moving the EZdok aircraft universal camera and change back to virtual cockpit all the angles and zooms are changed and the cockpit is pretty far away and that happens with all the cameras ! How can I lock them in one position till I move around with the Universal camera?

vexon You can also download 'FSX-Borderless', you place it in your main FSX folder and use it instead of your usual FSX application (the blue square with the plane icon), it runs FSX in a false full screen but allows the taskbar to pop up etc. Easy and effective I think. library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=fsx+borderless&CatID=root&Go=Search

Sorry I didn't see the other comments on this same issue. However, it's still not working. EZdock doesn't come up in full screen. So when I go to window screen and pull up EZdock, it still pauses the screen and cameras don't cycle. Didn't have this problem before. Hopefully someone has a fix. Using an Saitek Pro Flight Yoke and Rudder.

I have several problems. I can't get EZdok to open up on top of fsx, it opens in the background, so I have to alt+shift+tab out to use it. I also have a 10keyless keyboard which causes fsx not to recognize any arrow keys and I can't look around in the cockpit... can anyone help, especially with the first issue, I have no clue what to do about it.

resolved some of the issues by downgrading to the old version, but I still can't move the camera. I can pan the view around, but arrow keys and middle mouse still don't work. They worked briefly, but only in the default trike and then stopped working all together. Given the amount of people who are having problems with this software, I'm beginning to think this was a major waste of money.

you can't be in full screen, you have to be in windowed mode. under views, uncheck full screen. If you need to, stretch the window to fit screen.

I had the same problem. Do you use a joystick? If yes, you have to activate it in the EZdok options and delete the default hat switch. This worked for the joystick AND the mouse, idk why, but it worked. :)
