A faulty crank position sensor will throw all sorts of timing off. Somewhat like bad ignition coils. It is a tight fit when it fails. Cheers.

And the right bolts are a step down bolt.I am sure they would have been in the package

so u don't need the tool to put the pully back on
@AbnormalGarage6 жыл бұрын
Nope. Just the line the pulley up with the key way, put the bolt back in and torque it down.

What were the symptoms your car was having that required you to change the CPS?

The car was misfiring and idling rough. It also had a check engine light on. The code it threw was P1374 3x reference circuit.

@@AbnormalGarage My 3800 tachometer went out two days ago. Then it comes on after driving a few miles but bounces around at times. Yesterday the car would not start so I got on the ground and wiggled the harness as I can reach the wires. The car started after doing this. Two other times the car had to be jumped and it started right up with cables. The SES light is not on but I am thinking this sensor is bad??

You need a drop light. That pen light is in the way!

Lol my impact gun was useless. I ended up putting wd 40 taking 1/2 drive wrench and bump starting it. Make sure the car doesn’t start before you try the bump start method. I’m glad I purchased a steering wheel puller years ago. I thought it was a waste of money. I’m glad I was wrong.

I think you need to have the threaded bolt in place already before you put the Is tool in there
