so close to figuring this out but i dont have a paks folder inside the saved folder inside bend game. I only have 3 files int that folder you have cooked and paks i only have the long number file and config and logs does this mean i have to make my own cooked and paks folder?

The bend game folder will not appear if u don't open the game for the first time. After I opened the game and quit, the folder appeared

lol i was doing it wrong, but it was working still, i just dropped them on the official paks folder and they worked fine, i'll try this out since i think it's safer.

Cooked is suppose to be easier to remove . As some pak files get into your saved game permanently

If the installation says paks then you were doing it right, if it says cooked, just install it in the cooked folder, it's very simple honestly

Press window key + R, type in appdata, find BendGame folder, open the saved folder, hope this helps

Mod description will tell you if it is a cooked mod or a pak mod, some mods have both installation process, some only have a single path installation, compared to other games, days gones seems to be easy to install mods, where it gets kinda annoying is on the reshade side so for that I just use Nvidia filters and get the same result as reshades, it lowers your performance a bit tho it all depends on how much sharp you add to the game, I usually only add 25-30% and that takes like 10 fps away

ok so you used 2 diff folder locations. what determines which folder you are moving the file to. you only made the example with these 2 mods. im also trying to figure out the need of renaming the folder with 2 ss if that folder was not even used during the video. if anything you complicated it more.

cooked files go: "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\BendGame\Saved" .pak files go: "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\BendGame\Saved\Paks" Drag and drop the "Cooked" file from your zip folder into the "Saved" file. Drag and drop any files ending in ".pak" from your zip file into the "Paks" file. If there is a folder in there called "spfpaks" rename it to "Paks" if there is no spfpaks file to rename, simply create a "Paks" file.

I appreciate your attempt at helping people, but inadvertently, your instructions can cause confusion. There are 3 instances in your instructions when you use the word "File", and you meant to say "Folder". That would totally confuse some newbie that's attempting to follow your instructions word for word. It's obvious that you know what you're talking about, and I knew what you meant to say, but to a newbie, your instructions are confusing as hell. They'll be trying to make a Paks file, instead of a Paks folder, and they'll be trying to drag a file into another file, rather than drag a file into a folder. I know what you meant to say, but someone that really needs the instructions, would just get even more confused trying to follow them.
