I used dd-wrt to change my 5 ghz wifi channel to channel 100. The oem firmware gives only 36-48 and 149-161 which seems to be the same channels as my 11-20 neighboring networks. When a neighbor using a "Bedroom display" ssid turns on their network my 5ghz wifi would shut down! Now I am the only network on channel 100!!! I used 64 at first but my speed was limited to 78-100mb/s. Higher channels give better performance and at channel 100 I get 270mb/s speed test which is just as fast or faster than the oem firmware. The wireless status reports 433-866mb/sec. Interference is real especially with all these devices that broadcast their own networks.

It worked out great with my R7500! Only real difference with this model I guess is, that I downloaded a .img file along with the .bin. No issues with going through the flash or anything. I just have to follow a guide I found to setup repeater mode. Thanks for the tutorial! Edit: Looks like I don't have the option for a 'Repeater Bridge' Mode! I do have everything else though, lol. AP / Client / Client Bridge (Routed) / Adhoc / WDS Station / WDS Station (Mikrotik) / WDS AP / MESh - 802.11s I thought it was going to be fairly simple but...nope.

Hi there. I have an older Encore ENHWI-2AN3 suported router. I downloaded both .bin files but when I tried upgrading my router through the firmware page it states firmware upgrade file should have .dlf extension. Haven´t found any documatation helping with this. Would you know what I should do? Thanx.

I bought a wrt 3200 ACM Linksys router that was reconditioned and apparently it came with DD-WRT firmware on it. It is so slow updating anytime you make a change that it locks me out of the router for at least 3 minutes. The screen doesn't refresh after I click the apply button it just goes blank and if I hit refresh the screen turns from blank black to Black white. I always end up having to type in the IP address of the router wait 3 minutes and then hit enter to get to the main menu you can imagine that this is a real headache when you're trying to add pin holes to the firewall for a server.

No... Here is an update -- the database is no longer the location to get the firmware. Look at the Forum or the Wiki for the correct location.

​@@troypoint You're using the router database which is old builds, not current... I see now that you're instructing people to go into other downloads and betas. However going to the forum post is better. Since you see current issues. There are no "stable" builds of dd-wrt. Also this video wasn't what I was looking for and I skipped through it trying to see if it was. My 2.4ghz wifi slows to a crawl due to a highly contested area and I'm trying to fix that. Probably go with openWRT if anything. Or sell the router. Thanks anyways and sorry for the misunderstanding.
