Connecting the water line to your new dishwasher can be a challenge. This video will show you exactly how to hook up the water line to your dishwasher. Although the dishwasher in this video is a Kitchenaid made by Whirlpool, the process should be similar on most dishwashers.

Hi I did exactly that with mine. But the water keeps coing out of the where the hose is screwed to the dishwasher. My dishwasher is a Bosch 100 series.

Maybe you need some teflon tape to help seal the threads.

do you connect it to Cold or Hot water supply lines?

I believe it is the cold. If you are installing a new dishwasher instead of replacing an existing one then you’d have to run a new line. Perhaps call a local plumber and see if you can get some answers.

If you aren’t able to pull out the dishwasher then you should probably hire the work done.

What about when the in line is dripping at the fitting. Do we need to drag the dishwasher out and lay it on its back to replace it?😭😭😭

No, I’d remove the fitting and put some pipe tape around the threads. Or you could try a brand new fitting.

If it is leaking from the fitting then try some pipe tape.

Not sure about the terminology. The blue inlet threaded pipe is made of plastic. The larger end of the 90-degree fitting is brass. Question. After the connecting the larger end of the fitting to the blue plastic end of the inlet valve - the junction is leaking, dripping. Tightening causes crucking in the body of the blue plastic pipe.And is still dripping. Do I need to order a replacement valve?

Yes, I’d get a new plastic piece. It’s possible there is a crack. You may be able to contact the distributor and ask for a replacement. Perhaps the one you have is defective.

hi i would like to see the other end as i was sold a fitting that is Push-to-Connect Straight Stop shut off Valve and the braided hose has threads or just tell me what to do thanks

So you are trying to install a water line for your dishwasher? As in adding it beneath the sink?

@@HowToVideoChannel hi. i have a copper water line coming up from the basement that supplies hot water to the faucet i attached a t so that i have a way to run water to the dishwasher. i purchased a dishwasher kit. the kit cameo with a braided hose and shut off valve it is the shut off valve. that i can screw to the t but the other end of the valve is not a threaded type so i cannot screw it to the breaded hose ? i do not know how to attache the vale to the breaded hose. i think the solution is to go back to home depot and get another valve that is threaded on both sides? thank you

Can anyone tell me if absolute certain all dishwashers use this standard 1" connector with standard across all makes same threads? I have aFisher Paykel unit with extreme hard plastic hose that feeds to it. I do not want to buy a $70 Fisher Paykel replacement hose. I am going to need the elbow, that I know.

The only way to know for certain would be to look up the details of the specific dishwasher.
