It's only in upgraded versions of windows, if you use wsl backend approach that is hsowed in this video you don't need it

having issue after trying to open docker desktop hit the cmd --> $wsl --update this helped me and now my docker is working fine ... thnx for the video too

I entered the command "docker version", error during connect: this showed up "error may indicate that the docker daemon is not running: Get "%2F%2F.%2Fpipe%2Fdocker_engine/v1.24/version": open //./pipe/docker_engine: The system cannot find the file specified.". Also error on docker images

You must be tried this cmd before Sign-In. When you click on FINISH setup, it will ask you to Sign In. Once signed-in try 'docker version' cmd
