First, this is an amazing installation video and I greatly appreciate him doing this. I actually had no idea this was out there and we will use this to make some changes to our instructions based on some of the comments. As I mentioned in one of the comments below, our instructions need some work to highlight some different things. First, you should install EITHER the MINI or the PRO Door Shields on your door, not BOTH. I'm actually surprised that he could get both on the same door. Also, only one of the long screws is supposed to go into the slot on the hinge shields. The holes are made so that ONLY one of the screws will go through one of the holes. Again, I'm surprised that he was able to get both through. The reason for this is that we want to have at least one screw with direct contact to the hinge. We tested this extensively and determined that this would produce the least amount of biding and would give the piece the most strength. Otherwise, we would have made the part with 3 uni-directional slots that would have allowed the screws from hinges with both W and C screw configurations. I sincerely appreciate the thoughtfulness and honesty of your video. Thank you. Alan Young - CEO

Thank you for those excellent clarifications. I've heard some mixed reviews regarding your instructions and videos, but I've not heard any complaints about the actual products. As a door installer for over a decade, I install all kinds of products and it's not uncommon to struggle with something or modify something, so overall, I'd say your product goes in just fine. I'm happy to have provided some helpful feedback. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Yes they need to adjust the placement for the pry shield screws, almost like the designers have never installed the product...

He is actually installing the pry shields wrong. Only one screw is supposed to go through the Hinge shield. The other long screw goes directly into the hinge. We actually have the slots made that way so people do not try to put both screws through both holes. We would have made the slots parallel, if we wanted two screws to fit through the holes. Nice video! Can you explain how the mini door shields work if there are only screws in the front and not on the side to help if a kick in happen and thanks

Great question. I can't speak for the manufacturer, but I'll make an assumption based on the various break -ins I've fixed. Often with kicked-in doors, the deadbolt blows out the wood section around it, so the face of that shield, holds the deadbolt in place so it can't push through the front of the door. In addition, I think the entirety of the products used act together to strengthen everything. I've never seen one of these actually kicked in or even attempted so I can't give any first hand evidence of their effectiveness, but I do think they strengthen the door and at least make it more difficult to break. Thanks for watching
