I'm looking for instructions on how to install the top of door mounted "special" chrome pieces along with the clips for a 78. I'm trying but am thinking I might have the wrong clips. Can you give me any advice?

If you give us a call 716 258 2065 I will be happy to talk you through the removal. Basically the are 6 clips mounted to studs that stick out of the door. You take a small flat head and start at the front of the door or the rear of the door and gently lift and pry up this will pop the trim off the clip. continue down the door being careful not to angle the trim too high as to bend it.
