bootcamp installer didint pop up for me

Once I enter the select tasks screen a pop up says "Unable to read the windows partition - Boot Camp Assistant was unable to verify if the Windows partition contains a Windows installation. This may be because BitLocker is enabled on the partition. If so, disable BitLocker on the disk before removing Boot Camp." then once I close this pop up I cannot select the third option of Install Windows 10 or later version its grayed out. If I continue I can put the iso on my usb but then after that it tells me to quit boot camp and I cannot create a partition like at 4:02.

I had a question and wondered if anyone had any solutions. I’m attempting to do this on my 2014 Mac Mini and I get to this part 7:13 then my screen goes black, windows logo and loading circle comes up, it goes around a few times then flickers and all i’m left with is a blank screen, but my cursor still shows up. I have retried it many times and don’t quite know what i’m doing wrong. If anyone has had a similar situation or has any suggestions i would greatly appreciate it! Amazing tutorial by the way!

It may take some time if you have an HDD. Are you unplugging the usb before that step (this could potentially be the issue). Otherwise I will try to do some research on this.

2014 MacBook Pro 13 running Big Sur here. I too get up to 7:13. All the steps get a green check mark and then the windows logo appears looking like it’s booting up. Then I get a windows message saying the installation failed and to retry the installation. When I click “ok” in the message box, the error message and windows logo keep cycling over. Any help would be appreciated.

To actually change the partition you have to delete the entire partition and redo everything

Has anyone had an issue on the very first screen of boot camp assist after clicking Continue there’s a blue bar that just goes back and forth forever? I restarted and left it running all night and it never made it past it

I have a mac mini 2012 and I was thinking abt doing this cuz I mainly use my pc for gaming but a lot of games are not available on mac, will this allow me to run any game available on windows just fine?

According to Apple, MacBook Air 2017 and newer don’t need USB drives (and won’t allow for one). Make sure you have enough storage on the SSD in your Mac. You need to free up space for bootcamp.

@@oldschoolanthems I can confirm that. @StarSunYT It doesn't work on Intel Macs older than 2011. I got a Mac Mini 4,1 Server (mid 2010) here and it doesn't even recognize Windows 10 within Bootcamp. Only Windows 7. Which is a bummer because Win 7 isn't available anymore for download at Microsoft. Which is fine. Everything comes to an end ... in the end :D

You need to shutdown your mac then turn it on while holding command and r until you enter internet recovery

i rewrited macos with windows this is bc i installed windows on the main disk instead on the BOOTCAMP disk

to fix that uhhh just restart your mac while holding command r that will do a internet recovery then when it boots up Go to disk utilty then format the disk to Macos Extended (Journaled) then exit out of recovery then reinstall a fresh copy of macos to your mac and there you go you fixed it
