This is a great video. I just got my truck back from the shop. I have to replace the EGR cooler and the EGR. I wasn’t sure if I should do it myself but 3 shops have let me down with repairs lately and I did them all myself. You made a great video and I’m going to get this job done now. @@ictviamfortruthgoogleisspa5886 we did NOT removed or have to move the Turbo or the waste gate as you see in our video. The removal is the same as installation with our Detroit 60 Series. Maybe you should have a professional diesel mechanic do the job for you. It's very dangerous to have your truck going uphill or mountains; having malfunctions with traffic running behind you. Pointless that we clearly tell you what tools we used. Pointless to ask me about your cost issues, that you should direct to the manufacturer or dealership. Point is that this video has addressed your actions already. Again you can freely do it your way. But the proof is in the video. That you do NOT have to remove the turbo or waste valve, just to replace EGR. As long as you are mechanically inclined and have patience to do so. Your questions does not apply to this video or our channel about cost. You can simply ask the manufacturer or dealership those questions.

I still got the original egr with actuater..yours looks like the detroit new and improved system..

That sounds great. Mine is not that new. But the part number is identical to original part from Freightliner.

M thinking of doing this soon. Got that ugly fix installed but the situation is worsening now. When I need power, the engine hiccups aters 1400rpms and there is a sudden drop in the boost for a fraction of second with a puff of black smoke. Feela like the egr valve is not working properly.

The EGR might not be working. What "ugly fix installed" are you referring to?

@@MahlonTane basically everything from like vpod, delta p, air cooler, turbo ecm etc.. the condition was worse though before installing that Ugly Fix which basically shuts off the egr.

@@MahlonTane I got all diagnostics done at Wajax, who call themselves as Detroit Specialists saying that everything is working good and never saw Detroitwith this issue.. LOL. But my local shop mechanic tried this chip which made it run better than before, but now its getting bad again. They say that Ugly fix works better when your egr had just started creating problem but mine was too bad.

I thought we did, not really sure bro. If you do not see it in our catalog let me know; so I can work on it. It will take a few days for me to get it done. Training for championship. But, I know you trying to get back on the road or something. The removal is just the reverse of the installation bro. You just gotta finesse that back bolt by the block and the tube. Also the outside for the hose. To get a positive outcome. We used 10mm or 8mm wrench; and just worked it slow. You know the saying slow is sometimes faster... So just take your time with it. I'm not sure if you know. Some places offer an EGR delete but first you should talk with your dealership and vehicle inspection regulations about it to see if it'll be worth it in the long run

@@MahlonTane dont wanna do delete,,its one way procedure, trying to block exast gases some how now, some block plate or something
