i have a 2 story house i want the aluminum perforated guards on the top level i have been told that it cant be done because they have straps underneath if that is true which gutter guards would be best in that situation thanks

Thanks for all your videos. However it is hard to tell which of the aluminum brands is your recommended gutter guard. Is it A-M Aluminum, Extreme Flo, Shur Flo X, Flexpoint, or what?

LOL, I don't recommend a specific brand it the TYPE of gutter guard. The aluminum perforated gutter guards. There are about ten different+ types currently. I just posted the ones that are easily excessed and priced right. like these amzn.to/3wCzkKW

Flexxpoint or A-M gutter guard??? I was leaning toward A-M since you don’t need to drill holes in the drip edge. Thanks!!!

First, the recommended gutter guards never get screwed into the drip edge. The gutter guard back edge gets installed behind the drip edge and possibly screwed into the fascia. All of the recommended gutter guard types have the holes in the back of the gutter guard for this option, including the ones listed above. It’s there for possible reinforcement, strengthening of the gutter or gutter guard. Most cases it’s not needed, just attaching to the front of the gutter is all that’s needed. Although if the gutters are older most times the gutters don’t have enough hangers to support the gutter guard properly. Also note if the gutter supports are starting to come out?! If so the gutter will first have to be reinforced or the screws in the back of the gutter guard utilized👍

Actually after a couple of years, things will start to grow in the gutter, they say the best thing is not to install anything, just the gutters

Yes, it is easier to clean the gutters without the gutter guards, but that ignores you have to clean them more often, AND you will have to remove the downspouts and clean those too. I won't address the problem of letting leaves get down the downspouts to clog your underground drainage, that would be a disaster.
