I know this was 4 years ago but my speaker would crackle and pop. I order an oem for like $30 online and it was plug and play right into the existing clip. I was hesitant to do this for the longest time before I found this video. I was able to change out the speaker in less than 15 mins. Thank you so much!

For this center dash speaker, why didn't you remove the factory speaker from the bracket it came in and re-use it and the factory wiring harness? That way no cutting. In your other video showing the door speakers, you did reuse those brackets. Or, if you were not able to re-use that bracket, Metra has the 72-5600(1) wiring harness that looks like (maybe/maybe not) it might fit that connector. Just wondering if there was a reason, awesome video, very helpful! thank you

Hey man. Thanks for the video! I appreciate it for the same reason as so many other commenters here. I just got myself an S550 and I'm trying to figure out how to best upgrade the sound. I have the shaker system (12 speaker? I've got the 8" sub in the boot...) and it's ok, but there are limits. Do you know if there any scenario where I would need to amplify the centre speakers as well as the front L/R speakers? (I'm awaiting a Dynavin D8 pro head unit, if that helps at all). If you have any tips, then I'd appreciate them! If not, then thanks anyway for the great video!

I replaced 1 in the driver's door the factory one was 8 ohm. And the one I put in it was 4 ohm. Didn't change the center or the passenger door. I didn't have enough time. But I turned it up and now the new speaker is cracking

Also it was a high quality speaker 110 watts

@@FatGuyBuilds I found out that it was not the 3.5" speaker it was the 6 and a 1/2 inch sub in the bottom of the door it was crackling but it was a brand new speaker and I don't see how the factory app is blowing that speaker

The corect impedance should be 8 ohm for the center, not 4 ohm like you put😂 It will blow up 🎉

They are still working fine all these years later. I am an electrical engineer.. the amp is 4 ohm stable. Everything is fine
