There is an arrow on top of the strut. Does it matter which way that arrow is pointing when you install it into the car?

+Daniel Marques Thanks for watching! The struts will only go in one way, so you typically can't install them on the incorrect side, wrong orientation etc. The arrow points outboard in most cases!

i just bought a set of struts n shocks for my sorento it looks pretty easy i think ill save myself 300 bucks n put them on myself now

In Belgium, we pay 1600 euro for changing all the struts, all included. If I do it my self , i pay 160 euro. It is just crazy how much the garage is screwing us. a strut costing 40 dollars is billed 200 or more.

Well done! I think the only thing l might ad is that on the top of the shock mount is embossed an arrow indicating the outward side of the vehicle that help orientate the hole positioning of the top mounts.

Is there any reason why a set of complete strut assembly's for a 2015 would not fit a 2016 sorento? All I can find for my 2016 is parts and pieces. Not full assembly's.

It is a great video but you skipped showing one very crucial step right after you bolt down the three bolts ob top, lining up the two bottom holes, is not a simple skip over and pass the two bots through. I am having a ditch of a time lining them up and realized that I need a pry bar to lower the spindle enough to get the bolt(s) through and that is with help. I will know tomorrow when I do get them in, with help. But you should show that little bit which is omitted. The only other thing That may be keeping me from doing what the guy in the video is doing and that is the wrong strut but double checked and I believe they are correct. Let me know what you think. I wish I could talk to someone at TRQ or 1A Auto. BTW, I am replacing the calipers, disc, the tie rod, and they are off and a new cv axel installed. The axel was ten times easier then this strut.

Sorry but mine does not line up like the video. Spindle holes are a good two+ inches higher than the holes on the strut.
