Great. One of the only videos that made real world working sense and gave a time frame on how long this project would take. I opted to fit my heater on the chassis with a stainless steel bracket but your show and tell of the fuel tank removal really helped. Keep the videos coming.

Thanks for watching, i cant remember exactly but i think it was 6-8 mm, i only used it as i was given it so i can't i probably just checked it fitted the connectors and cracked on with it.

Ive only used it for a wild camp once since fitting ( covid) but it was belting heat out, so yeah they are decent, i only fit mine their as that was the only available space i had left. Good luck with the installation 👍

THE NORTHERNERS great video I was looking to pay someone to do job but after seeing video will be all over it. I went camping in November and was so cold, could you hear the pump and was it noisy? I hear under the double passenger seat can be too close to the fuel tank.

@@SAHRUL.win. You can here the pump clicking but after a few beers its not a problem 👌 Yeh passenger seat may be close to fuel tank, i fitted a swivel passenger so that wasn't a option for me anyways.

This is the part of fitting a diesel heater I am not confident about especially as mine has the adblu and it’s filler neck in the same spot as the fuel filler neck.

Yeh it was the bit i was worried about, if your going to do it just make sure you give yourself plenty of time as you dont want to be part way through and then have a issue that you can't resolve but you still need to use your van for work or whatever. Good luck

Great video bud. I wanted to see this exact part of the installation, I'm glad I did too, that pump makes a right horrible noise! Its definitely getting fed from the tank, I'm not having that inside my van! 🤣 And I have to have a guess, you sound like you're from Wigan, maybe Bolton?

Spot on Pal, im from Bolton👍glad the video helped. I was more concerned about having a tank full of diesel inside my van and finding one day that its leaked and soaked into everything lol but yeh that pump makes a reet clicking sound aswell.

For a honda civic would you recommend the 2KW or 5KW heater? O I'm in Canada, so it gets cold, -15 celcius, want to do some winter camping. The heater will also be outside, so it will be drying in cold air. Want the car to be stealth, so as quiet as possible. Concerned the 2 KW is too loud. Then 5 KW is quiet, but concerned it will run too hot.

Hi, thanks for the question. We have the 5 kw and its never been to hot or to loud. But as for outside use i have no idea and especially at -15. Their is another KZbin channel i like to watch called Talonsei, he does a lot of overlanding and he uses an external diesel heater so if you have a look at his videos he does some test on them using them in freezing conditions at high altitudes so that might help you decide.👍

When you had the fuel tank down you should have syphon the fuel out to make it lighter. Then put it back in when it was reinstalled.

Good idea👍but at the time i had nowhere to store the fuel or to syphon it out or to get it back in so i had to put the tank back and run it for another week.

Hi Barry, yeh it was purely for added protection and the fact that it was available to me for free so its up to you weather you want to 8se it, if i didnt have it for free i would probably just used the pipe that it came with. 👍

If that's the bit that looks like a small radiator then no, it managed to just drop past it. Just had to remove the plastic trimming.

Hi Matthew, yeh its still working fine. We dont use the van as a full time camper so the heater isnt on all the time plus with the lockdowns we haven't managed to get many overnight stays in it.
