It shouldn't worry you. Room temperature is 68/76°F Diesel is combustible on or over 125/180°F. That's about as much as it takes to boil an egg, pending if you like runny yoke. Humans can only withstand 108.14°F. Thx Shaun!

Nice idea but when fuel tank is full and takes more force to return fuel to tank think you'll find its easiest route will back through night heater when not running and up being filled with unburnt fuel and end up smoking a lot or coking up just a thought shaun. Hope it's not the case but think it will be. Hope I'm wrong as it's a lot easier to get done

There's an easy fix to that problem - just do not fill the tank up to the brim. And it's cheaper, hahaha. As we say in Poland - increases in fuel price do not affect me as I always fill for 50PLN (about 10quid) ;)

Superb, I was umming n aaring whether to fit one in my vivaro but I'm changing my mind, is it critical where you put it under the drivers seat and also, (sorry) will a 110ah batt and 100w solar be enough, i have a split charger fitted too, cheers buddy, cracking vlog that
@DIYCampervansAndVariety
@DIYCampervansAndVariety 3 жыл бұрын
Personally I would go 150 at least on the solar,it’s not critical where you put the heater but under the drivers seat is handy for the diesel fuel pipe but you don’t want the heaters exhaust exiting near the sliding door as it gets very hot and the fumes could enter the van if the door seals are poor,hope this helps and thanks for watching 👍

As I know 1.9 dci does not have pump in the tank. Why do not taped in feeding line?

I didn’t know the 1.9 didn’t have a pump in the tank,the van in the video is a 2.0,if the 1.9 doesn’t have the tank pump then I would have thought you could use the feed pipe but I’m not sure,if I get a 1.9 I will try it, thanks for watching 👍

Great useful video. Quick question mate. Could you still run the diesel heater while the van is running ? I’m asking because I’ve heard some people start the van up on the initial start up as that’s when it’s harder on the battery. Does that makes sense lol. Cheers Ade
@DIYCampervansAndVariety
@DIYCampervansAndVariety 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Adrian yes the heater will run fine with the engine running,the heaters initial start up pulls a lot of current but once running it’s negligible,if your running the heater with the engine off it’s best to wire it to a separate leisure battery,hope this helps and thanks for watching 👍
