mine stopped recording on hot days while parking. PS: Have you find the time-lapse option? I use the cable in my car, the camera is always getting power, but could not find the timelaspe/parking mode.

If you installed the hardwire kit the timelapse option will be avaliable in the settings menu of the dash cam. I don't think you can access through the app.
