Thanks for that video! As you said in another video... the governor spring is one of the best places to start with upgrading. I did not look for big power as I need my truck for work as well but just the 3k springs made a world of a difference ... Thanks a ton!

Appreciate the videos! I have a stock 190hp industrial 12v p-pump swapped into my 89 Grand wagoneer backed by a ZF5 About to rip into it and start doing some of these mods. Am I in for a surprise because of the industrial pump vs dodge pump? I have heard the 190hp one pumps are based off the 160hp dodge. Any truth? Looking at #10 plate Afc mods, Valve springs 4K gsk And bumping the timing from 11* to 18* Your videos will be rolling the whole time in the garage while I am doing the work. Thank you again!

Hi Mr. Rob, I replaced my stock springs with 3k springs, I measured the grove to cap and made sure I tightened (3 clicks it took) the keepers over the new springs, but things aren't just right. I have had to turn the idle up to 1000rpm in park to prevent truck from stalling when I put it in reverse or drive when cold, when hot it idles so high almost 1100 and races around parking lots it's almost dangerous. If I were to either remove a click or add a click which direction would you suggest to perhaps take a stab at being able to drop the idle a bit to make things nicer to drive and not stall when cold.. I have to give the pedal a tap to start at the moment as well, or it cranks for about 4 seconds and slowly gradually gets to a point of starting.
@CUTTERUPROB2 жыл бұрын
What pump you working with ? I would add 2 clicks on each side

Hey man i have a question, I just installed my 4k springs and I just noticed hitting the higher rpms my oil pressure drops to down low enough to worry me. Is that normal.. and this is the factory gauges I'm talking about. Thanks in advance for any info.
@CUTTERUPROB Жыл бұрын
Could just be the gauge. But I would doodle check that
@zacmccrae Жыл бұрын
So while driving the pressure is normal and climbs with rpms, it was only while in park. But I believe its the factory gauge, I'm adding a aftermarket oil pressure gauge so I know exactly what its doing. Thanks and love the channel btw!

If not previously measured how can it affect idle and do you tighten more or loosen
@CUTTERUPROB4 жыл бұрын
if there two loose the idle will be lazy . like if you put truck in gear if auto and it stalls
