I salute you sir for teaching the next generation. I loved doing hardscaping as we call it in the US. I did it when i was younger. No where as skilled as you thought. Great job! 👍🏻

I’m in the middle of a driveway job myself. I watch all your videos as you know, love em. I went for ibran grids off the back of this video and can’t wait to get them down, thanks for the tips! I went through my first gas pipe on this job too! But thanks to you boys, instead of panic, I just went with it. Bloody honest mistake isn’t it? What do people expect when there’s a tiny plastic tube running through the garden in not a few mm down?! You’re an inspiration and I owe a lot you for this job im on (except the gas repair bill!)
@brickrightbuildinglandscaping2 жыл бұрын
Will im glad you find the videos useful and they help you which i think is great .Many people have helped me so sharing information between everyone only helps so im all for that . As for the gas pipe if its close to surface you shouldn't have to pay mate so question it Will. Good luck and appreciate your comments always do mate. Justin 👍 👍 🤣

Can you lay a driveway on top of dirt like that? Do you not need to dig down deeper?
@brickrightbuildinglandscaping Жыл бұрын
Id recommend digger down and added a base 👌 👍
@GeorgeAusters Жыл бұрын
@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping But it looks like you've laid the hardcore on top of dirt?
@brickrightbuildinglandscaping Жыл бұрын
@GeorgeAusters George you dig down the required levels stipulated by the manufacturers of the grids .You add your sub base and compact the area .add the grids etc etc . So yes its layed on a sub layer thats been excavated 👍
@GeorgeAusters Жыл бұрын
@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping So it doesn't matter if its on top soil? I only ask as i'll be doing the same myself

@GeorgeAusters Topsoil should be removed George. It should be layed on more solid ground . Topsoil isn't suitable so remove it i would .👍

When reading about permeability, the MOT type 1 is supposed to be not good for drainage and to use MOT type 3? Type 3 is hard to come by,
@brickrightbuildinglandscaping Жыл бұрын
We use a recycled product better than the mot from the quarry for drainage
