Thank you for this video. I am trying to install on my 2017 Honda CR-V EX-L. I can't seem to figure out which wire is the trigger wire for the trunk release. Is there a way to test the wires with a multimeter tool without cutting them? ( I am a novice)

Hi this information is great and it helped me work out my Foot Sensor, but the button I installed on the boot did not trigger the boot to go up only down because that is what the button was designed to do. so I connected it to the original boot button and now it works fine. Different cars different plans who knew. But keep up the good work like what you are doing

I have recently purchased kick free sensor kit from ebay, it is almost similar to what you have used in your video, only difference is that it has an additional wire, instruction said 1 wire to be connect with -ve output of trunk outer button, 2nd wire to be connected to Trunk -ve trigger, 3rd wire to be connected to -ve output for truck inner button.

Great video, thank you. Quick question, I have located my trunk opening switch connector which has 2 wires going to the switch. Is there a way with a multimeter to determine which wire type negative or positve switched setup it is? and how to determine which wire to connect the trigger wire to? i'm assuming if i measure voltage across the two pins and as I press the button it should read a voltage? and one way it will be a negative reading etc?

Hi, I have a 2018 MINI Cooper CountryMan F60 and recently retrofit a SmartTrunk Opener/OEM TailGate KICK sensor into my car.The module of the sensor has 3 wires with one each connecting to the 12v & Ground & the last to ?LIN bus.I am not sure what this LIN module wiring is and where exactly the Signal wire from the Kick sensor is supposed to connect to.Can U help me with this retrofit project, please?. Hi, I have the same module and the same Mazda cx 5 2019 KF car from the USA. When I install this module, I can only open or only close the hatch with my foot. I can not connect it so that the module opens and closes the hatch at the same time. Did you solve this problem or is there the same problem in your car?
