Thank you Randy. You made it look uncomplicated. I was hesitant if I should do it myself or have Honda install it. It looks like I would be saving $300 by installing myself and allocating that to hitch harness installation by Honda. I vote for little bit of talking during video. Keep it coming because there is not much out there on any self installation of accessories like roof rails, OEM hitch, harness and other parts for Passport. We appreciate your effort and helping the rest of the Passport owners saving $$.

Thanks for posting this. It helped me more easily install rails and cross bars on my new/used 2020 Passport. The hardest part for me was cutting the rail with a hacksaw, as even a fine toothed blade hung up on the thin metal. It's satisfying to have a good result and save a bunch of money.

I have a question for you, I have a 2024 Honda passport you know in the rear cargo area and has that latch for storage. Do you know any way to put a lock on that? Or replace the latch itself with a lockable latch?

Thank you Randy for this video. Looks so simple. I am going to try this. The link you posted is not available. Can you guide for the right one?

Great vid, thanks. The Honda instruction recommend an air saw to cut. Pretty cheap at Harbor freight. I have a dremel I rarely use. What attachment did you use on the dremel?

Just what I had. Nothing special.

Yes I did.

Hey, where did you purchase the rails from. Also I can't tell if the part number I'm seeing only comes with 1. If it does, than we're talking 500 for the rails which seems super pricey.

They are Honda OEM available at CampingRandy.com and they come with both.

Question, when you take off the roof molding, you end up breaking some or all of the plastic clips (yellow and white). Did you replace any of those clips before you re-installed the molding that you cut? Or, does the pressure from the rubber bottoms of the new roof rail (three sections that hold the rail to the car) hold down all of the molding without the need for the clips? Thanks. Excellent video.

New clips come with the kit.

Yeah 15 to 20 minutes is not realistic. Unless you know exactly what to do and have all the tools ready and parts ready Just think if he would have used plastic trims tools the video would have been half as long. But three hours means you can't even figure out how to get the parts out of the box.
