I lived in Japan and once I got out of the Navy, I made sure to bring this experience back with me. For those of you who are interested but maybe don't want to buy a whole toilet, Look into Brondell or Toto Washlet's. They are essentially a toilet seat that has many of these features. I have owned 3. In my opinion, the Toto has more features that you might not need and the Brondell models were a bit better for my situation. Also, great content Jane! keep it up!

Horow recommends 12" from finish drywall to center of drain, I only have 11-1/2" (baseboard is flush with drywall). Trying to get an idea if this toilet will still fit, I'm OK with it being a little tight to the wall. Do you know how far your center of drain was from the drywall and how much space there is between the back of the toilet and the wall? Great video by the way.

I installed 2 toilet. One was exactly 12 in. from wall to the center of the drain and I have room to insert my hand behind the fixture. The second toilet I installed was 11 inches from wall to center of the drain, it fit but there is no space between the toilet and wall. Hope this helps.

I kinda wish that toilets like these could operate off of just 1 water supply line, but this is probably to isolate the heated water from the flush water. Also requires an electrical outlet (hopefully GFCI protected), and we only have one of those in the main bathroom, the other one doesn't! Yeah, I so want to re-do the plumbing and electrical, but I can't afford to do that right now...

Well, see, I'm talking about the whole house. I don't think the wiring has changed since 1960, and there's no actual earth ground in any of the outlets.
