Hey man thanks heaps for this video. And thanks for the extra little details. I'm doing this on my 05 model right now in preparation for a drift weekend. Stuff like the 0.75 bore is stuff that others forget to mention so it's appreciated. On the cylinder I went with the rear fitting was slightly goofy as well. It ended up being a 7/16x20. Most 7/16 fittings seems to be a 24 tpi instead of 20. So those fittings should arrive soon. Then I'm just waiting on the tee pieces. I've already made up a mounting bracket and bolted it in place. I'm too chicken to weld directly onto the car. On your mounting bracket did you get much flex or bending over time? I'm just trying to decide on how much reinforcing to add. At the moment it's just 3mm thick mild steel. I'm considering welding on a brace or two under the bracket but it might foul with the seat.

No it didn't flex at all so not sure if it's needed as for the fitting I found asp motor sports has the exact fitting to adapt to a standard brake line size

hi i installed something similar to my rx8 but by deleting the line tht goes to the rear from the abs module, so its basicly foot break front only and e hydrualic break rear only, (hydraulic e brake with fill option) but it doesnt look it just slows down, is there anything special you did?

ABS still work as normal when you just T into that brake line?

I honestly cant say as I disabled my abs module.

I know this was 3 years ago, but if I had to guess, the brake lines joining together would cause abs to still function but it would relieve pressure from both rear wheels simultaneously instead of one or the other. If you pull the hydro you wouldn’t have abs to the rear assuming it’s installed after the abs pump because the master would block upstream as it pushes downstream towards the rear brake. Again not an expert but that logically makes sense.

Does your proportioning valve still work or did you loss your rear braking when you stop
@DanmosWorld6 жыл бұрын
Yes all the brakes still work

Sweet I’ve been trying to find a way to do it now I did

Did you need to flair any lines or was there an existing coupler to remove and install the Tee?
@DanmosWorld5 жыл бұрын
Yes had to flare like 6 connevtions

I'm kinda confused. If you have the hand brake hooked up to the front wouldn't that apply the same amount of pressure to the front brakes as the back? Sorry I'm a newb to this kinda stuff haha
@DanmosWorld5 жыл бұрын
It's only teed into the rear break line

Where did you get your caliper bracket I cant find one?
@DanmosWorld5 жыл бұрын
This is only using the stock caliper there is only one per side it's an inline setup

@aydankraemer3778 ай бұрын
I’m wondering too… I think with this your brake pedal only works on fronts now not sure

Hey I gave this a try and for some reason I pull the ebrake and it locks the rear brakes but I doesn’t release. Any idea?
@DanmosWorld4 жыл бұрын
Maybe the hydro slave is plumbed backwards
@DanmosWorld4 жыл бұрын
It goes from the front of the car to the back of the cylinder then from the front of the cylinder to the back of the car
