Just received mine for my daiwa SS2600 reels along woth the converted caps. When I take the spring out the top of the spool to put the ice washers in, would you recommend cleaning all the grease out which was in there, the reels where new to me about 4 weeks ago so I've no greased them.

Yes mate take out every little bit of grease otherwise it will kill the carbon on the Washers and they will Not make any difference

Would it be the same for "Roy's Carbontex" washers?
@camocarpycuttzy4 жыл бұрын
Yes mate a ice washer is a ice washer just make sure you buy the correct ones to your reels, when buying there's normally drop down lists on many sites

No they are different. Carbontex is a hard carbon weave with a thermoset matrix. Carbontex relies on grease to make them run smoothly. ICE Washers were developed by Ferox Engineering and are self lubricating. This gives ICE Washers a very smooth and progressive performance when playing a fish.

Hello mate, not relevant to this video but how did you get in with the stealth bloxx bivvy? Obviously this is 2 years later now.. I've just bought one and wanted to know your opinion further on down the line.

Spot on mate it's fast and light and it is literally seconds putting up once you've had it a while, down side is it is thin fabric, it let's the sun threw early am in summer so if your wanting a lay in forget it but remember that's what makes it lite with the fabric being so thin, still strong and took some real heavy winds, hail, heavy rain, apart from a bit of rust on the storm pole threads it's good as new mate not been out as much as I'd like mind with covid and leads, it's only been fabsiled once but to be fair it didn't require it I mainly did it for the uv protection, great bivvy for the price mate don't get a wide boy bedchair tho if you've bought the compact like me I angle my solar bed to a slight degree but I normally do this anyway so I can see the rods
@camocarpycuttzy3 жыл бұрын
no buttons on mine mate unless they changed it the sonik one is very near the same main diffrence is its flat back so its better for the bed little longer in the poles cant see it adding that much extra weight on and yes that a good bivvy too,my next one is a solar bivvy unless something beats that in due time but this one ive got is just to good to get rid of so am now deciding to better my alarms first,dont get me wrong theres noting wrong with them am just board of them

Cheers for your response buddy, I did also get the compact version so I'll take the bed feedback onboard. Seems I've made a worthy investment then happy days! Cheers again mate, keep the vids coming!
