The first thing I noticed about this reel is its weight kzbin.infoUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I wouldn't say it was uncomfortable but it was a little heavier than other similarly sized reels. However, that didn't deter my enjoyment of how smooth this reel is. I spooled it with 20lb. Tuf-Line XP and it's perfect for what I use it for. I have it paired with an 8'6" Medium/Fast Okuma SST Salmon/Steelhead rod. The combination is perfect for casting and even drifting. I used the reel all day and didn't experience any arm or hand fatigue except when fighting a few fish! The bail is solid and feels strong when engaging by reeling and manually closing the bail by hand. The large rubber handle grip is very comfortable. It's got a powerful drag, silky smooth reeling, and feels very comfortable in the hands. I recommend it!

Instead of using an empty bog roll to put your old line on, I use a bit of old wood or twig and in that way you can get three or four spools worth of line on.

I do exactly same de spooling my reels, but spooling them up when attaching new line to reel l, instead of a knot I use a small piece of tape and no knot at all... I've today ordered some SubSonik in Camo 🎣🎣

@@carldyke76 Not sure pal, not heard many decent reviews yet also... Lines I've used are Gardner GTHD, Korda Carp line, ESP syncro, Wychwood DPF, now trying this.... Out of em all so far I'd say the Wychwood has performed best.

If you save your old empty spools. I take a drill bit that fits snug in the center hole. And attach to my drill. Similar to this.

Say if you don't want to "re-spool" your reels but use the back of the line and reverse it, if you the same as you've just done it, and would you need to soak the line again if its already been on the spool?
@davidhopkins90213 жыл бұрын
Personally I wouldn't do that but yes soak as well
@blackhammer74293 жыл бұрын
Mate do one on fluorocarbon and the small 200m spools on a big pit. So you've got to back it then put say a 200m kontour on

Soak the line for 24 hours to allow it to absord water and expand? What boll***s is that! 😂😂😂😂 Mono line is made of nylon, its waterproof! Thats why it floats and why we make waterproof clothing out of nylon!
@alexwareham80054 ай бұрын
Wrong, it's does absorb water. A simple Google search would have saved you looking silly before commenting. Good day to you.
