Great job my friend you did it. I clicked on your video because I wanted to see a front to back install of this because I was going to purchase one and I also wanted to see what happens when you came to the point of whether or not the kid came with a new ventilation hose or not and sure enough it does. What's up with the adapter that goes into the filter? It has bolt holes on mine but nothing to bolt up to. 2019 frontier. Just now finished installing this same K&N CAI.

I have one on my 2011 Xterra Pro-4X. The bolt that attaches the bracket to the intake tube fell out at some point. Nissan couldn't figure out why something was rattling. It took me 5 seconds to figure it out. K&N sent me a full replacement for the bracket. Do you know which bolt attached the bracket to the underside of the intake tube? My K&N directions are in my storage unit, and I don't feel like going to get them.

I installed a K & N intake but I noticed that there is a lose hose that has nothing to do with the filter. It comes from within the engine down on the same side as the filter. I have read that it doesn't do anything but I can't find out what it's for and where it should go. Any thoughts? I have a 2012 Xterra.

Sorry to suggest you to get some basic mechanical education before working on anything in the future. Especially a new vehicle. BTW, the factory system is far superior to any of the CIA intakes for these particular vehicles. I have a 2014 Xterra and when I fabricated my mount for a 12k winch to the frame & factory bumper I used the air box area for installing a marine grade battery isolator, relocate the winch control box for hardwired & remote control. So I fabbed something similar to a CAI, but shorter and better sealed. Again, I apologize, but it hurt to watch you destroy fasteners by using the wrong tools. BTW, impacts work by impacts per second. One impact “bump” will not loosen anything.
