Just a comment for anyone seeing the worker nodes stuck in the "activating" phase. You do not initialize a kubeadm cluster on the worker nodes, you just need to join the cluster initiated by the master and the 'kubelet service will turn green on the worker nodes.

i followed every steps you showed in the video. I was able to start the master node kubelet service. but unable to do so on worker nodes. journalctl shows that config.yaml in /var/lib/kubelet/ is missing. Can you help?

I probably watched this video 10 times already setting up the Kubernetes cluster over and over and it works great. But the problem I’ve been having is trying to make rancher work with it. The 1.28 version of kuber is not compatible with the latest rancher and even with using something like 1.26 kuber which is supposedly compatible, I still can’t get it to run. Do you have any advice for this or do you ever think you will do a video covering rancher?
