How to Install LED Interior Bulbs In Porsche 986 Boxster or 996 911

Hey Eddy- Saw your excellent video on 986 Boxster S. I didn’t catch the year of your car. I have a 2003 Boxster S. I was thinking of putting LED’s in the interior, trunks, and license plate bulbs. I have seen some are Canbus, and some aren’t. Did you use Canbus or not? I didn’t want to order and get some error codes. Do you know the answer to this question? Thanks, Ron

Hi Ron, mine is a 2004. I used normal tail light bulbs and some interior LED from Amazon and eBay that I had in the garage. I didn’t have any codes.

I bought a kit of random bulbs from Amazon years ago. It was worth it because I have replaced the lights in lots of my cars

W5W seems to be same as the better known in US - "194" bulb
