I'm pretty sure there isn't any packing inside these mufflers. Its a bear to take the mufflers off without removing the bumper. Thats how I did it the first time too.

How are you finding it in terms of droning? Mine is terrible between 2k - 3k rpm.

Because it’s old and second hand it is basically two 3 cylinder motors straight piped and sounds terrible. I’m going to build a custom system with a cross pipe similar to the 987 and later cars.

Thanks mate. Total weight reduction so far is 52.15kg (115lbs) with a bit more to come.

Just buy 2 bucket seats like recaro pole position with fixed brackets and no rails. That's easy 60 pounds less.

It’s terrible drone and would never recommend it. I will be getting a custom exhaust by a local shop soon. One with a cross pipe joining the 2 sides of the exhaust
