I installed the fuse in slot #105. Which only illuminate when I turn on car, remote start which Mercedes Me app. You would have to look at your vehicle fuse diagrams to learn which fuse needed to patch into your locator lighting feature.

Great question. I have seen a non-OEM LED star installed on a GL model. The Vendor who I purchased my LED star from is linked below in the description from eBay. The LED star comes with wires / full kit. I had to purchase fuse tap adapters separate. This star size is for the W205 W218 CLASS C CLS CLS550 CLS63 C350.

You can find it for a higher price point, but it may be easier to Vinyl wrap instead.

Yes! star is On when car is On… you can wire light directly to headlights via wire tapping which takes more work for same style.

Great question and thanks for your feedback. If you have the distronic system then I do not recommend this install. This install will deactivate your distronic functions became the sensor is build into the star.

If your car has the intelligent package I believe you get the distronic plus feature. Distronic plus is basically adaptive cruise control. But I honestly wouldn’t know if a car has distronic plus until I’m about to crash out lol 😂

Save yourselves fruitless time and money: NONE of these illuminated stars work on an AMG because of the integrated sensor behind the OEM star. Even if it dimensionally “fits” the stock grill (of a C-Class, or whatever base model Benz,) the AMG model nearly never accepts “multi-fit” aftermarket items. You’ll thank me later.
