Hi. To extend the free two weeks trial of crossover you need to remove Linux apps from your Chromebook's settings, reinstall it. You will loose all your Linux applications and Linux files in your file manager. Alternatively I know about a completely free office suite, it looks similar to office, similar functions, and nearly 100 percent compatible with office documents, presentations and spreadsheets. I deleted some big files, and the installation was completed correctly. However, I got two problems: 1. The application runs so slow (there is a delay between keyboard button pressing and the appearnace of the letter on the screen). FYI, I am using Samsung Chromebook 2. I don;t have the product key. What suit do you reccommend to me? I have tried WPS but, I do not satisfy with it, due to same funtions/features in Ms. Office (work/excel) are not available on it. Thanks in advance

Hi! it seems like your linux apps hard drive ran out of space, go to the system settings, inside of it go to the linux apps section, and you will find a place to resize the linux apps folder, please make it bigger. then go to your file manager, inside of it to the linux folder, and remove all the extracted packages and run the second command again. please keep me posted

I normally create it, and send a link but i won vacation, first time in two years, and i don't have my work computer with me. You can try to install it with my other method. No. It will still be there, just not usable. A person can remove it with sudo apt remove crossover* -y && sudo apt autoremove -y Then reinstall it, and reinstall your apps. And have another two weeks... And so forth. A person might have to remove a hidden folder in the linux apps as well. Hope it helps

So there are two versions of chrome os, the 32 bit (which is all chromebooks with arm64 cpus, all mediatek and rockchip cpus). the 64 bit (which crossover and office requires) are all chromebooks with intel or amd cpus. Hi. You can remove your whole Linux container, by going to your Chromebook's settings, where you turned on Linux apps. And you should find an option to remove it. All your Linux files and Linux applications will be lost. Hope it helps?

why do you believe you have a virus? as asbsh say it is very difficult for chromebooks to get viruses... but if you believe you got one somehow please explain the situation. my wife had a virus once, she received a random email, she clicked a link in it, it broke it completely. i powerwashed the chromebook to fix it. i re-clicked on the link to see if it was really due to that email and it broke the chromebook again and i powerwashed it again :) when i was a sysadmin, i even had a macbook filled with viruses, so all computers can get them, just extremely difficult

Are you talking about random ads in form of notifications? Just turn them off from the Chrome settings and stop allowing them from any random site that asks you to do so

It seems to be loading a lot and quite slow...is this only because you just installed them and starting up for the first time or is it really that slow? Want to install it for my chromebook got wondering how much slower it'll be on mine.

The first time is the longest. I have a chromebook with a Celeron n3350 cpu, so you can compare it with yours. I am slowly making easy to install packages for office with crossover if you want to wait for it. But you can try this out for sure. Please keep me posted

But I have a lot of assignments so I’m worried if my trial runs out I won’t be able to use anymore. Would I have to pay after trial ends? Or is there another way I can still use it? Hi. Can you look at wps office? It is completely free, it is basically 100 percent compatible with office documents, spreadsheets and presentations, similar functions and completely free! So i would just give it a go. @@Queen01113 Hello, most Linux distro users daily use *LibreOffice* . It just takes some time to get used to it because of the interface. Otherwise, there's *OnlyOffice* , that looks just like Microsoft Office, *OpenOffice* , an old office suite, or *WPS Office* , as the channel author said. hi mate, have a look at all three your lastest videos, i just said that you use my channel for ideas, and i am fine with it. i would like it, if you use the commands which i compiled, just to give a link to the website where you found it... but it is up to you. as for the windows, Chrome OS created the way, you saw it somewhere and created a video which is great. i saw it on chrome unboxed, i did then more research, but i gave them a link in the aritcle, you can check it out because i saw it there first.
