How to Install MIP CVD Drive Shafts In An Axial SCX10

Hello my friend, I’m learning a lot from this video, thanks for sharing this. I have a question: How tight should the drive shaft end mate with the axle housing? If I see correctly you have a little bit of gap there when you installed it, may I ask what is the purpose of the gap? Thank you again! 😀

Should I allow the thread lock (locktite) to sit 24 hours in areas that is needed then assemble the rest after? Or just completely put it all together?

Great video!! What wheelbase is your scx10 and do you happen to know the part # for this kit? I have the short 11.4 wheelbase in my scx10 and having a hard time finding the right kit.

haha! thanks Steve. Glad it felt seamless to you...it wasn't seamless to edit. It was while I was editing it together that I realized the reason the spur gear was rubbing...so I stopped and went back up around midnight and tried to re-shoot it in a way that might cut together with the video I had shot before....

This is my first set. I had seen other people running them, but lucked out in some ways because it was all that my local hobby shop had in stock to repair the truck. I was forced to upgrade...ok..maybe not forced...but I'm sticking with my story.

+CCxRC hahahahaha that's right man we got the love that saying that's my story and I'm sticking to it yeah that's all good brother at least you got a damn good sitting out my grandsons E-Revo 16 s goes through so many of the axle drive shafts I'm going to downsize him to a couple 2s lipo stock batteries you won't have any problems butt you know all about lipos more fun

The upside to the twist in your stock shafts is it's your built in weak point.

I don't think so. It comes with loctite and grease in the same container.

yes comes with both and the blue is the loctite , not the only one who noticed just wanted you to know but realized its an old video

haha. just watched it again....and totally did put loctite on a bunch of stuff. That's why I shouldn't make these videos so late at night. Luckily...i've pulled these apart and re-greased them.
